Karen has a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts from Rutgers University. She’s had a lifelong appreciation for art and antiques instilled at an early age as her parents collected for many years. She began a small antique business in 1991 renting space in antique malls in Springboro and Lebanon. Eventually she began setting up at various shows in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania with her husband, Chuck. They specialized in paintings, sculptures, art pottery, art glass and furniture.
Patricia attended Junior College in Illinois majoring in Business
Management. She’s had a lifelong interest in antiques, specializing in
fine jewelry and quality costume jewelry. She has taken several classes
on period and Victorian jewelry. She began selling in antique malls in
Germantown, Springboro & Jamestown. She and Karen met at the
Springboro Antique Mall and began setting up together at various shows
in Ohio. She specializes in fine and better costume jewelry, Victorian
period antiques & collectibles.
Karen and Pat saw a need for a service to help families deal with the sale of personal property. Many people simply do not have the time or experience to identify and determine the value of this property. They can become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of items collected over a lifetime and many of these items carry memories which can distort the real market value. This makes the whole process stressful, difficult and time consuming.
Over the years our business has developed to incorporate direct mailing lists, email distribution, web site design and maintenance etc. We continue to evaluate any methods of sale and marketing which will help our clients realize the maximum value for their possessions.
- Identifying items of value and researching comparative market values. Our years of experience and access to experts in virtually all areas of collecting enable us to do this effectively.
- Having large, broad buyer exposure to insure maximum price. Our email list has thousands of serious buyers locally and in areas around the country. Our customers receive an email detailing each sale.
- Targeting specific demographics using technical marketing tools. This is especially important for high end items. We advertise each sale in local newspapers and national publications when required. We also use direct mail campaigns targeted at specific demographics when appropriate.
- Staging items to be sold in an attractive manner to increase buyer
demand. We take pride in our work and make sure your items are displayed
in a desirable manner.
